Cadmium-Telluride Thin-Film BIPV Glass
CdTe thin-film PV glass — opaque, coloured, stone-texture (66 / 290 W), translucent (80 / 210 W) and coloured translucent (90 / 210 W) variants for curtain walls, skylights, canopies and railings.
Cadmium-telluride thin-film photovoltaic glass is our BIPV product for surfaces that must transmit light or carry colour. It is produced as standard opaque thin-film modules, coloured opaque modules, stone-texture modules at 66 W and 290 W, PV tile modules, hollow translucent modules at 80 W and 210 W, a large-area translucent module, coloured translucent modules at 90 W and 210 W and the translucent XYGPV-CW11/48X.
Typical placements are curtain walls, skylights, canopies, railings and façades where daylight has to pass through the generating surface or where a specific colour is required. Transparency, colour and format are specified per project and quoted on request.
CdTe glass is combined with crystalline modules on our larger BIPV buildings: the 1.519 MW Jianhu Financial Tower uses 1,224 coloured CdTe thin-film modules at 60 Wp and 240 CdTe elements at 164 W alongside its crystalline double-glass array.
Specification sheets, floor plans and elevations are sent on request.
