The Jianhu Financial Tower is our flagship BIPV building: 1.519 MW of photovoltaics integrated into the tower's façade and roof, generating about 1,670,900 kWh a year and avoiding around 1,666 t of CO2 annually.
The façade is treated as a stone-like curtain wall rather than a panel array. The system combines six module types: 2,421 crystalline double-glass modules at 545 Wp, 1,224 coloured cadmium-telluride thin-film modules at 60 Wp, 42 coloured crystalline modules at 455 Wp, 36 coloured crystalline modules at 120 Wp, 240 crystalline modules at 240 W and 240 CdTe modules at 164 W — the coloured and thin-film elements carrying the stone-like finish while the double-glass array provides the bulk of the capacity.
The project was delivered by our Jiangsu BIPV base in Jianhu, Yancheng, whose scope covers BIPV design, manufacturing, construction and operation and maintenance.
