A 141.7 kW building-integrated PV roof on a seafood (lobster) sorting centre in Jianhu, Yancheng: 260 monocrystalline double-glass modules of 545 Wp form the roof covering itself, generating about 156,000 kWh a year and avoiding around 155.53 t of CO2 annually.
For an agricultural processing building the BIPV roof does two jobs with one component: it is the weather-tight roof over the sorting hall, and it generates through the working day while the hall beneath it is in use. This is our BIPV approach — modules integrated with the roof, façade, railing or sunshade so that the building is the power station — with 50–500 kWh of storage where needed.
It is one of two BIPV roofs among our agriculture references, alongside the Gaozuo Smart Agriculture Centre, and an engineering case of our Jiangsu BIPV base in Jianhu, established in 2021, which runs its own BIPV production line and covers R&D, design, manufacturing, construction and O&M.
