A 504.45 kW building-integrated PV carport at Jianhu People's Hospital: 885 monocrystalline double-glass modules at 570 Wp form the canopy over the hospital's car park, generating about 554,900 kWh a year and avoiding around 553.23 t of CO2 annually.
Double-glass modules are used because the module is the roof: glass on both faces gives the weather protection and durability a canopy needs, and the array shades the parked vehicles beneath it. A hospital car park is in use around the clock, which makes it a large, continuously occupied surface for generation.
Designed, manufactured and installed by our Jiangsu BIPV base in Jianhu, Yancheng, as part of a county-wide series of BIPV carports.
